Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world. -Bruno Barbey
Welcome To My Website.
Hello and welcome to my own photography website where I can store all of my work for my GCSE photography work, as well as adding pictures that I have taken in my spare time. My goal is to store my work in one place which will represent my passion for photography. Throughout the topics we have been studying in photography, I will research a variety of different photographers and analyse their work, picking out which ones I like and which ones I don't like as much. This will then help me to develop ideas of my own to eventually create a final photograph relating to the studied photographers style. I will show this work through multiple shoots that we will do in and out of school and I will show my progression throughout the course.
Why Photography?
Photography has always captured my attention, whether it being because of the things people have produced by taking photos of their adventures or because it is something that is personally connected to the photographer. I have always found photography an excise of the mind as it always requires you to think outside the box. Whether you take a portrait of somebody or you base your photos on figurines, they all hold memories and stories that are personal to you. Also, a single photo can be interpreted into anything by anyone, but to you, it will always mean something. I find photography an easy way of expressing my interests in the easiest possible way without having to explain anything. I can take a photo of something that catches my eye and automatically, my personality is shown through a simple photograph.
My style of photography is ranged from portrait photos to macro photography. I personally find macro lenses more fun to use as looking at an object in a new perspective is more different and interesting than just looking at it from a normal eye view. This is one of the main reasons why i have taken more photos with my macro lens than i have of landscapes and portraits. Despite this, i have taken some portraits and photos of architecture as a way of varying my photography skills.
